“Send me”… She said

Thinking of the omnipotence of Jesus, it is mind blowing. I mean, a man who would willingly take up the cross and allow Himself to be tortured and spit on for our sake, I do not know about you but for me, it is a mega WOW. Now, due to His blood washing sin, we are declared forgiven and free indeed.

However, even after that incredible, mind staggering deed the Bible challenges me so much in the book of  Romans 8, 34: “Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.” I mean, already He has saved us and now the scripture says He prays for us even when He is in heaven? How magnificent is that. So if such a magnificent being would make intercession for us, how much should we who are on earth pray for one another?

Ephesians 1, 15_21 “Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers. That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints”

Paul prayed for people in Ephesus that they might have an enlightenment about who Jesus is. Isn’t that powerful? He cared for them so much. I remember just after I got saved, after I believed in the saving blood of Jesus. I met a lady who lived in my neighborhood. I knew her but not really used to her to extend of sitting together and chatting kind of instance. After I got saved, it got a bit different. We really drew closer together. She became a sister to me, a friend to me. Just in the beginning of our friendship, she mentioned how she saw me praying in Church at a cross over service. Going into 2009. She had come to visit where I was attending church since her church was not having a cross over service. “When I saw you lifting your hands in worship, I was at the doorway making an entrance. I stopped, I was in awe of what I was seeing,” She said. She went on to tell me how she had been praying for me to come into the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. She narrated how she had been praying for me and when she beheld that scenario where I was lifting my hands. She said her heart just poured out in adoration to the God that caused her prayer to come to pass.

This is what our Lord wants of us, to pray and make intercession for those that may not be knowing the saving Grace of Jesus and allow ourselves to be used as disciples to minister words of life to them. This lady came as a sent one into my life. She became a very close sister of mine even up to date. She may not be on the know of how incredible she has impacted my life. I don’t know how to express my thankfulness unto her for agreeing to be used of God. She took the direction and said yes to God. “Send me,”she said.

I remember at one point, on her birthday, I wrote a letter for her, I was expressing how God is well pleased with her and how wonderfully and fearfully she was made by God. How she has the fingerprints of God all over her being. She held that letter so close to her. She was struck by the letter. That was around 2010 or 2011 and she has kept that letter and always mentions how beautiful it is. Having had that letter for so many years, she started telling me to create a blog. Well, I didn’t really care much about opening a blog. She kept insisting so much to an extent whereby I had a dream while I was asleep about writing and started to really ponder on the idea of a blog.Yes I always loved writing but never did I think I would have a blog. I did not know what I would write about and the edge of writing about the gospel really swirled up in me. Prayed about it  and here I am, enjoying every part of it.

My point here is that this lady has poured and put a seed in me from the get go. I may not tell her or show her in a million ways but I am so thankful of her having played such an integral role in my life. Her prayers changed my life. In essence what I am trying to say is, we need each other, pray for each other. Exhort each other, love each other. Speak words of life into each other. This world will be an incredible place if we continue with such great attributes.

I will always be so thankful for you my sister. She agreed when God sent her in my life. Her name is Nthomeng(translated, sent me). May we all live up to this name. Allow ourselves to be sent by God in all spheres of life.
