This month has been a month ticked as a month of love. A time to express love and really show how much one person is valuable to another. It has been a really fun month so far. All over the malls, the shops are decorated with red and white colors. Teddy bears are in red and white, to cups and cards being all red and white. A really beautiful month it is. Though a bit more romantically acquainted relationships are more popular during this time.

My partner and I made plans to go out on a date night on the 14th of February. It was our first time doing a dinner date. I made reservations at a lovely restaurant around town. I was really nervous since it was our first ever dinner date. When I went to pick her up, oh dear God, she was so beautiful. I suddenly became as poetic as Solomon.

Song of Solomon 1:15: “Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves’ eyes.”   Her skin was really beautiful and light.

I was really struck. Black and white attire like we had planned to wear. She was really amazing. Her hair so well combed and her long pony tail beautifully hanging over her shoulder. Song of Solomon 4:1: “Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves’ eyes within thy locks: thy hair is as a flock of goats, that appear from mount Gilead.” Indeed every moment of our time, I felt like I was Solomon with those artistic romantic words.

Just after I picked her, we wanted a picture together and there was no one in the street but as I was taking pictures of her, came a guy who seemed to have come from school. My partner did not hesitate to ask for that guy’s time to take a picture of us. He did not hesitate either, he jumped right at the offer. Did not utter a word, he made a really wonder job. I just thanked him without having had asked his name. Indeed my brother, who ever and where ever you are, thank you so much. May the Lord keep doing you good because I know He is.

When we got to the restaurant, it was really amazing. The decorations. The band singing made a very beautiful serenade jazzy vibe kind of atmosphere. It was lovely. I pulled the chair for her to sit down, and by this time, she was more beautiful and elegant than from the time I picked her up. Indeed they say beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder, but even if I was not the beholder, I’d still point to her if they had asked who in the room was the most beautiful woman. Looking across the table was an amazing view. I could not believe what I was seeing across the table, eyes so glittery, smile glistening with warmth, I wondered if indeed that was what God sees in us when He beholds us. I was really stunned at the radiance I was beholding. The candles flickering right in front of her face, an incredible view it was. I could not hold myself, had to take a picture of her.

Even if we had not gone to the dinner date, I would still say I do adore her because all of that can not replace love.

Song of Solomon 8:7: “Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.”

The food and drinks were really great, the music as well was just so lovely and sultry. I really did enjoy the 14th. But even aside such great and lovely aspects, it would not change how much I do feel about my partner and would love to thank her for choosing me, not just as a Valentine’s date but as someone that will be present in her life for forever and look at her across the table all of our lives. Thank you my sky full of stars.
